Living Funeral Ceremony

  • Krumville Community Meeting House 1242 County Road 2 Olivebridge, NY, 12461 United States (map)

A Living Funeral Ceremony is a guided, immersive meditation that invites you to confront your own mortality in a structured and supportive space. Becca of @celestialbranches will be your guide. We will go through a reflective writing ritual and a facilitated death visualization. Participants are often left feeling a greater appreciation for their daily lives and a sense of peace around dying.

An altar will be set within the space as a communal focal point for reflection and intention. You’re welcome to bring a small object or photo if you feel called.

Becca is an end-of-life guide and multimedia artist from Newtown, Connecticut with a deep commitment to transforming death-care. Her early experiences with death, including her father’s passing and the Sandy Hook shooting, have driven her passion for addressing our culture’s approach to death. Certified as a Death Doula by Going with Grace in 2020, Becca now hosts Living Funeral Ceremonies, volunteers with the Connecticut Death Collective, and advocates for green burial and home funerals. She currently resides in the upper Hudson Valley area and and hopes to continue pursuing a degree in Social Work. Becca aims to become a licensed grief counselor and is dedicated to providing compassionate and accessible support to families during their times of grief.

Tickets are $50. Space is limited.
