Forage & Dye Workshop: Mugwort

  • Big Red Barn at Sister Divine's Farm 41 Lower Sahler Mill Rd (map)

Forage & Dye Workshops with Sasha Botanica & Liminal Textiles

We will explore the magic of plant dyes and seasonal color, weaving together foraging, plant dyeing, and fiber arts into a hands-on, immersive experience.

Each session will feature a different locally foraged plant, which we will gather together and transform into a dye bath. Experiment with silk scraps, ribbons, and yarn on your own lap loom to weave your own textural tapestry - layering together naturally dyed materials to create a piece that reflects the shifting landscape around us.

This workshop series is an invitation to:
Learn the basics of plant dyeing and the properties of local dye plants
Create with intention, using handwoven techniques to express seasonal colors
Connect with the land, the plants, and a like-minded creative community
Slow down and weave moments of stillness, color, and texture into your practice

*Each participant will take home their own weaving - piece of the season woven into fiber.
